Manila, Philippines - A spokesperson from the Bureau of Immigration, Maria Antonette Bucasas-Mangrobang, has said that Ramona Bautista had indicated her destination as Istanbul, Turkey and she has no return ticket.
It can be recalled that Ramona is a suspect in the killing of his own brother, actor Ramgem "Ram" Bautista Revilla.
Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. has said that Ramona, his half sister, could be joining her husband, a Turkish national, to evade investigators working on the case. However, the lawyer of the family of Ramona Bautista, Atty. Dennis Manzanal, stated that his client is running away from the media and not from justice.
It was reported earlier that Ramona Bautista boarded a Cathay Pacific flight bound for Hong Kong around 9 p.m. last Friday. This was after recanting an earlier statement she made to police investigators that she was abducted by her brother's killers and left in a mall in Las Pinas.
